Inspired by the Sea

Falmouth Artist Ryan Young’s paintings are a tribute to the town that raised him. He has been seeking inspiration from his surroundings since childhood. Some of Young’s earliest creative validation came in middle school, from his teacher. He painted in watercolors and was encouraged to paint in that direction. Of all his subjects, he is perhaps most drawn to water, due to the constant evolution, which could also be a life metaphor. It’s constantly changing and inspiring. “No matter how many times you look at the sea, it’s always different.”
