The historic Highfield Hall & Gardens all decorated into a winter wonderland for visitors to admire. Local event stylist Rita Pacheo shares her insight into how to create warmth and joy in your home. From the great hall, to the dining room to the ballroom and the kitchen, everything was done so lovely.

Inspired by the fruits-and-leaves wallpaper, the dining room is styled for a gracious gathering.
A life-size nutcracker greets visitors in the main hall.
These “Traveling Santas” are a whimsical collection in a vintage suitcase.
Sugar plums will surely dance in the heads of anyone lucky enough to settle down for the night in this bedroom.
For the rustic and elegant seaside-style living room. The colors in the mosaic fireplace surround and layered in different textures. So using natural elements like bittersweet vine wreath, milkweed pods, pine cones, oyster shells, driftwood and dried allium.
Hydrangeas, harvested and dried by Highfield Hall & Garden’s, festoon the main stairway.
Do it yourself touches that transform the dining room include chair-back swags.
The blades from an old ceiling fan are painted gold and used as place mats.
